Electric Vehicles ( EVs )

Electric vehicles or Electric cars are vehicles that uses electric motors for propulsion. They have a battery that can be charged by solar power or the grid. The battery is then used to run the motor.

At The Green Camel, we import electric cars for our clients and install solar powered charging stations to charge the Evs thereby significanly reducing the cost of running the electric car.

Electric vehicles( EVs) have been touted as a sustainable result to the growing economic and environmental enterprises around the world. In Kenya, a country that has been scuffling with high situations of air pollution in its metropolises and municipalities, the adoption of EVs is seen as a way to reduce carbon emigrations and ameliorate air quality.

EVs, once largly adapted by the population, will significantly reduce dependency on petrolium imports which put a heavy strain on dollar reserves in the country and cause a trade imbalance between Kenya and countries we import the fuel from. Despite being in the early stages of development, the electric vehicle request in Kenya is sluggishly gaining traction. In recent times, the Kenyan government has been making strides towards promoting the adoption of EVs in the country. In 2018, the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum blazoned plans to establish an Electric Vehicle Taskforce to develop programs and regulations that would support the relinquishment of EVs in the country. The task force was also assigned with relating implicit impulses to encourage consumers to switch to EVs. This move was seen as a significant step towards reducing the country's reliance on fossil energies and promoting sustainable transportation.

Three companies leading the charge in the EV request in Kenya is are The Green Camel, Mobius and Roam. The Green Camel , is devoted to developing affordable, rugged and dependable electric vehicles specifically designed for the African request. We are currently rolling out e bikes, manufactured locally and importing electric vehicles as well as installing solar powered charging stations for our clients. This makes running of the ebikes and electrical vehicles running cost to be almost zero because of the low maintenance and zero fuel required. There are severaln EV charging station in Nairobi to support the relinquishment of electric vehicles in the country.

Despite these sweats, the relinquishment of EVs in Kenya is still in its early stages. One of the major challenges facing the EV request in Kenya is the high cost of EVs compared to conventional vehicles. In addition, the lack of structure for EVs, including charging stations, is a significant hedge to the relinquishment of EVs. Another challenge is the lack of mindfulness and education among consumers about the benefits of EVs and how they work. To overcome these challenges, the Kenyan government and private companies need to work together to develop programs and impulses that encourage the relinquishment of EVs. For case, duty impulses can be introduced to make EVs more affordable for consumers, while government and private sector investment can be used to make charging stations and other EV structure. also, the Kenyan government can support the relinquishment of EVs by furnishing further education and mindfulness juggernauts aimed at promoting the benefits of EVs. This can include working with seminaries and universities to educate scholars about the benefits of EVs and furnishing training for mechanics and other professionals to work on EVs.

In conclusion, the electric vehicle request in Kenya is still in its immaturity, but there's significant eventuality for growth in the coming times. The Kenyan government and private companies need to work together to develop programs and impulses that encourage the relinquishment of EVs, while investing in structure and education to support the growth of the EV request. With the right programs and investments, the relinquishment of EVs in Kenya can help reduce the country's carbon emigrations and ameliorate air quality, while furnishing sustainable and affordable transportation options for consumers. .
